The usual doubt
The question usually appears when an office opens, a premises is renovated or the network starts to fail. Structured cabling is not just running cables: it means leaving points identified, tested and ready to grow.
What a rack is for
The rack centralises router, switch, patch panel, network electronics, fibre, UPS and other equipment. This makes it easier to find faults, add workstations, separate services and keep the installation clean.
When it is worth doing
It makes sense when there are several workstations, cameras, WiFi points, a phone system, POS, servers, printers or critical devices. An organised installation saves time whenever something needs repairing, expanding or checking.
